The 12-hour direct flight did not bestow me with a goodnight sleep. So here it is, the Aeroporto di Milano-Malpensa (MXP). The space was not that big.
Having claimed the baggage, the first-purchase was a train ticket to the city. The ticket center was a red window box. In Italy, English was not very popular. English signs only appeared at major tourist points. Therefore, a must-remember word is the “Biglietteria” which stands for “ticket window.”
A ticket (from the airport to the Milan Central Station) on the Airport Express line was EUR 12 per person. On top, another 1.5 euros was for a tram ticket to some distant area (e.g. BnB).
In order to contact the landlord of the BnB, at the counter I bought a phone card for 30 euros which includes 300-minute air time and 2G data transfer.
